smooth and hydrating

I really love this product. I keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day. It has a smooth and soft texture, like feather almost. It keeps the foundation from sweating off.

I know this is supposed to be hydrating, and, based on the other reviews, it is hydrating for most people. For some reason, I find it to be very drying; with an almost chalky feel. I wear Bare Minerals Matte in Golden Medium, so maybe this is just the wrong mineral veil for the "matte" foundations. This powder is shiny and iridescent, and I find that when it captures light, it can look pinkish, purplish, and other colors. This is an interesting effect, but unfortunately it's not flattering on my skin, and it seems to clash badly (for me) with my foundation color. This type of iridescence always seems to make my pores about 10x more noticeable than I want them to be, so perhaps I just don't have the right skintype to benefit from this veil. I'll stick with original & tinted mineral veil, but I recommend this if you love iridescence!

I have somewhat dry skin in the winter, so I thought I'd give this a try. I don't think it controls shine nearly as well as the original mineral veil, which is one of the 2 reasons I use it. The other is to diminish the look of my pores. I will go back to the regular mineral veil. I don't find it to be drying, I just thought I'd try something new.

This looks much much better on my face. I dumped their original mineral veil I purchased because it was too dry looking and felt too drying for my 62 yr old skin. This is much much kinder; feels nicer. Definitely worth the purchase if you have dry skin or mature skin. :))

Really like this powder as a primer for my eyeshadow. It's light and is somewhat hydrating (I wouldn't say amazing, but pretty good). My eyes get dry in the winter, even with eye cream, so this helps.

This finishing powder goes on top of my foundation and blush and just blends everything so it looks more natural and it covers the pores and wrinkles that some mineral powders seem to accentuate. Overall gives a softening look and feels refreshing to apply.

I DONT KNOW WHY THE OTHER VEIL ITCH ALL MY FACE BUT WITH THIS ONE NOT.IS NOT REALY TRANSLUCENT IS KIND OF WHITE BUT I HAVE FAIR SKIN,I DONT THINK IT WILL LOOK GREAT ON DARKER TONES. i got this as a sample from another beauty store, and when i went back to get another sample for my sister, they said all samples and product was recalled due to moisture gathering in the container. not sure if this has been resolved.
