I don't know what is the specific ingredient in this product that make it so great. I just know that my make up does not look great until I apply my mineral veil. It is like magic! You instantly will notice a glow (not shine) in your face. I love the foundation but it looks much better after you apply the mineral veil over it. I also has the tinted mineral veil but it is not the same as the original. I didn't like it as much as this one. If you are in doubt, don't think anymore and give it a try. You won't regret it!!

Was so excited to try this product and spent $20 at Ulta on the brand's suggested application brush. This product made my skin feel like it had layer of dirt on it and caused breakouts in certain spots where it "pooled." I used a kabuki fan brush following application (used product five times) which presumably removed the excess. Plus, it made my skin dry and I didn't feel it looked "translucent" in any way. I gave it to my nineteen year old daughter and she said the same thing, My sister, on the other hand, loves this product as well as their other cosmetics. I'll stick with Clinque's powders from now on.

Was disappointed to receive a .3 oz when I ordered a .42 oz. Evidently their was a size change that didn't make it to the product description.

Otherwise, the product is great; I have used for many years.

This is a product that I have been using for the past 2 years. It provides a light, smooth finish after Bare Minerals foundation. Good for many skin types and shades.

not too fond of packaging, especially the NEW and IMPROVED! Can't manufacturers just leave things along? Will continue to purchase product.

While I dislike most Bare Minerals products, I love the smooth finish this powder leaves. It really does blur pores. I find it's best to use their powder brush for application. Unfortunately, it doesn't control shine well so I use a different powder in the warmer months when my skin is oilier. Also, it isn't compatible with a lot of liquid or cream concealers.

I bought this to replace L'Oreal Bare Naturale translucent finishing powder, which I was always very pleased with except for how quickly it ran out. Thought I would try Bare Minerals, since it is very highly regarded and came in a larger size for a similar price. This product does not refract light or luminize the way the L'Oreal powder does, and it seems to sit on top of my face (especially clinging to fine hairs) looking dull. I could put creme blush on top of the L'Oreal powder, but it won't stick to the Bare Minerals powder - it kind of pills up when you try to blend it. If I touch my face even after hours of wear, the cornstarch in this powder sticks to my fingers. On the other hand, it seems to control shine very well and does a terrific job of setting my ultra-glossy Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer without adding any color. I won't be buying this again, but I'll use it til it's gone (not when I'm expecting anyone to kiss or touch my face though)

I have used Bare Escentuals for over 12 years, and the mineral veil is a go-to product that I use after I have put everything else on. It gives the face a finished look. When I am short on time, It also acts as a foundation.

I have used this mineral veil for over three years and it consistently delivers what it promises - a natural "veil" to seal in foundation and blush and to give your face a natural light-reflecting finish. Only need to reapply once during the day (late afternoon) to refresh your make-up. This product does not cause breakouts or rashes like other face powders I have used in the past. One container lasts about 6 months if used daily.
