This was the first time i needed to order the mineral veil as i got my first batch in the starter pack. Not realizing that 'illuminating' meant 'glittery' i was a little surprised when i opened the package. i thought i'd give it a go seeing as i had opened it and returning things can sometimes be a hassle (not with the company but with me, making the effort). Overall, i'm happy with the product, but might not order the 'illuminating' product next time.

If you are looking for full-on glimmer, this isn't going to give you that. However, if you are wanting a subtle shimmer that just makes you look a little less tired & a bit more radiant, plus something that sets your makeup, this is a decent product. I prefer Laura Mercier's Shimmer Bloc over my makeup, as I like a super-dewy finish. Also, this product (as do all BE products) breaks me out because of the bismuth ingredient. But used sparingly, I can avoid that problem. While not my favorite product, I think that for women who aren't acne-prone & just want a loose powder with enough fine-milled mica to look a bit more alive, this is a nice selection.

I've been using BE for about 3 years or so and I'll never use anything else. The coverage is flawless on my not so flawless 48 year old skin. And this Feather Light Mineral Veil is the PERFECT finishing touch giving my skin a glow that is perfectly NATURAL. LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!

This is an absolutely amazing powder.
I am 40 and so am now painfully aware of my "aging" skin. This gives a light dewey look.
Don't apply too much!

If you only try one Bare mineral product, choose this one! The change in the appearance of your skin is truly remarkable! I LOVE this product!! People always comment on my skin and this product is one of the primary reasons. It's very light and has a beautiful finish. I think that it would be best for people who have good "canvas" (e.g. no heavy breakouts). Also, on really hot, humid days, I'd recommend the regular mineral veil. Use a light hand to start or you could end up looking too "sparkly" - just a little bit does a wonderful job. Enjoy!

I have tried many other powders, but this is the one I always come back to. I will stay with this forever. Love the dewey finish it gives.

I really love this product! It gives me a shimmery glow. I've had friends ask me what I'm wearing. I'm 62 years old and it's nice to have a product that gives you a little lift. It's a keeper!
