I bought this as an everyday makeup bag. It is too short for any of my brushes and not big enough -- even with the "expandable" zipper -- to hold all but one of my makeup products. I'm not big into makeup -- I'm a minimalist and tend to more of a natural look -- so I don't have all that much makeup or tools to store and, even for me, this bag was too small.

I use this to store my Bare Escentuals makeup and brushes everywhere I go, from home to school, from work to the airport. It is compact, convenient, and bigger than other reviews led me to believe. All my brushes fit with no length problems, and all the products I use on a daily basis fit as well - foundation, Mineral Veil, blush, 3 pots of eye color, and a mini lip gloss. I like this bag because now all I have to do is grab and go!

Pros: Dark color hides dirt/makeup smudges. Compact and great for travel or everyday use if you don't use a lot of makeup. Like the separate compartment that keeps brushes from being damaged.Cons: I had a bareMinerals makeup bag very similar to this that came with a kit I bought at QVC. This is a little smaller, I couldn't fit as much makeup as I used to.

It's a nice little travel companion if your makeup regimen is very minimal. Even though it has pockets for brushes, the case is too short to fit most of my brushes. It ended up not being very useful for me.
