Comments about bareMinerals bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20, Bare Porcelain 01, 1 fl oz:

I really wanted to like this because I prefer more natural foundation products without silicone but find the powder foundation to be drying. I exfoliate and moisturize with a high quality facial oil each morning before applying foundation. I have combination skin but it is smooth without any visible dry patches. After applying the foundation it balls up and makes it look like I have dry, flaky skin. Terrible! I thought I was having a dry spell so I used Philosophy's facial peel and applied a heavy overnight moisturizer thinking my skin was thirsty. When I cleansed and moisturized (with a different moisturizer) the next morning again, it appeared flaky on my skin. I tried to rub it a bit and it just rolled and balled up. I hope others have better luck. I am truly bummed.

Comments about bareMinerals bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 20, Bare Porcelain 01, 1 fl oz:

I have been a very long time BE user. Now that I'm 60 years old, I find the line is geared more to women up to the age of 50 - 55. 1st of all, they seem to put "shimmer" in practically everything from their "radiances" to [especially!!!] their eye shadows. This looks cheap and "glittery". Who wants that? Maybe it's fine for young women or someone going "clubbing" or to some evening event. For daytime use, the mature woman looks OLD! That said, I'm rating the serum foundation that is applied with a brush. For ME, no matter what facial lotion I use under this foundation, it "balls up" and you basically brush most of it away to rid this. My skin is smooth from regular exfoliation and I use good products & do not have a lot of lines at all. There is very poor coverage, if any at all. The only reason I don't give it just ONE star is that it DOES give SOME "radiance" to your face - it's not worth the hassle to try & get any coverage & get it blended and still have any left on your face. I would not recommend it at this time, but will keep practicing - I've worn it 3 or 4 times with the same result & I am very proficient in makeup application!
