This is a great way to try the Arcona line or for products to take while traveling. The white magic ice has done wonders for my skin. The desert mist is great as a refresher, but does have an unusual scent. I love the package design of the berry bar. The golden gommage is not my favorite, I much prefer the cranberry gommage and think it performs better. The night treatment performs great. I took these products to a humid climate and my skin transitioned great from the dry climate I live in. The kit is a great value.

I bought this kit (and I am writing this review) for my daughter, a true minimalist, who at 21, was experiencing severe irritation on two spots on her face. I knew the value of Arcona products and thought that she should try the "Basic Five for Sensitive Skin" before heading to the dermotologist.

Within one day her dry patches were healing and after a week of usage, her skin never looked better. I chose the "sensitive" line over the "dry" one because I knew from experience that her problem was not caused by an over-all condition of dry skin-just very sensitive red patches.

The raspberry soap is soothing, gentle and has a great natural scent.

One recommendation I would make is to use the grain gommage only after any previous irritation clears up since the granuals might cause more irritation initially.

Definitely overrated. I have supersensitive skin and I was excited about the reviews. First off, the explanation of how to use the products is not there. I had to call the head office to understand what order the moisturizer and the serum and the am/pm creams had to be used. They weren't very friendly. Second, the bottles are awkard. Because its mostly fluid and not creamish when you pump you get the product all over your hand and it goes to waste. Also yes, the skin absorbs it faster but it leaves a dry feeling that won't go away with the amount you use. It caused major irritation and break-out on my face. For the price I paid, this is absolutely horrible. I switched to Boscia instead which already made a difference in a few days. I'm going to copy paste this for all the Arcona products that I've used. Don't waste your money

I am 42, have sensitive combination skin with minor adult acne.[...] I bought the sensitive skin kit and am so glad I only threw away $ on the travel set. The smell didn't bother me, no redness or stinging, and the first few days my skin seemed to be getting smoother, then I started developing small blemishes. I figured it would work out so I kept on. Then I started noticing deep large blemishes on my chin/jawline and my skin was shiny all they time. Yes, you will glow, but not the way you want to!! I finally bailed after a week because my skin started turning pebbly and gross and continued to break out. Acne was not my main concern when I purchased this set, but now it is!!I am very disappointed and suggest avoiding this product. I am trying Perricone MD Skin Clear now to try to fix the damage and will review soon.

I bought the basic five travel kit for sensitive skin. Not only does it smell like a cheap restroom sanitizer, it BURNED when I used it. I'm grateful that I didn't invest even more money than I did. I can only speak for myself, but if you're skin is supersensitive and have trouble with scents, you may want to try to get free samples before spending $$$ on these products.

I've consistently used the five products for 3 weeks now. I do like that my slightly oily T-zone does not become shiny by mid-afternoon but the products are definitely not moisturizing enough for my cheeks and around my eyes. The fine lines around my eyes have become more pronounced and I've twice had visibly dry spots on my face. I do not care for the desert mist at all, it's runny and smells terrible. I very much like the feel and scent of the gentle repair though.

I almost rated this 4 stars because the berry bar is so amazing but other than that the products are only OK. I don't really dig the grommage, it is sharp so not sure what it's doing in this sensitive skin kit. The pump for the AM moisturizer stopped working with just half of it gone, so I had to try to get it out but it's so thick and the opening so small a lot of it went to waste, and for this price I don't appreciate that. As a moisturizer it's good, but it lacks SPF so it requires me to go without or to wear a second product for sun protection. The PM solution smells and leaves an un-tasty residue on my skin. My husband cringes after kissing me if any has gotten near my lips, and I think it makes me break out a little, my skin usually looks less than stellar the mornings after I use it. The desert mist smells and I don't think it does anything, that's what all the other reviews have said and I agree.

If you truly have sensitive skin and tend toward facial redness be very careful with this line. After five days my skin has become more reactive than ever, with increased redness and dry patches. I've even broken out for the first time in years.

I really love this line - I purchased the sensitive skin trial kit after reading that Sarah Michelle Geller uses these products exclusively and each product is indeed very gentle, soothing, and makes my skin look radiant. The products are natural without being too granola, health food store-crunchy. They smell pleasant and fresh. It is an effective, wholistic line with really high quality ingredients. Rivals anything I've tried from high priced department store lines. I've already purchased the full size bottles in a couple of the products!

This is the kit really changed my sensitive skin. I started slow as directed using the Gommage and Gentle Solution just twice a week and the rest every day. Such a difference in my skin, smoother, more hydrated, and not irritated. Finally a kit that addresses many concerns with aging and sensitivity. 5 stars!!
