This soap lathers up nicely and has a good quality. It is not particularly "scrubby." I don't consider it an exfoliant at all. Also, it is black. The black comes off on everything once the soap is wet: your tub/shower enclosure, wash cloths, sponges, yourself. MOST of the time the stain washes off. Wash cloths required bleaching. It simply makes your bathroom area look scummy and disgusting. Between that and the fact that it is an ordinary good-quality soap, I won't buy it again.

This is good facial soap for oily skin. I have tried several high quality facial cleansers in the shower. This bar is my current favorite. It slightly exfoliates. It effectively dries my oil prone skin. I have noticed that the number of blemishes are noticeably reduced. Unfortunately this soap creates a mild menthol type burn. But it is not a problem, other than around my eyes. I plan to continue purchasing this soap.
