Had this for less than one year, the other day it got tangled in the cord to the hair dryer, and fell off the edge of my dresser (a 3 foot drop) when I picked up the hair dryer. Even though it landed on plush carpeting, one of the plates detached and is now just hanging from its side of the straightener. For[$] I expected a much more durable product.
