Avoid washing the hair too often and only when hair begins to dull.

Remove any tangles with your fingers or a wide tooth comb before cleansing.

Create a solution of one teaspoon of any mild shampoo to two quarts cold water.

Saturate the hair in the mixture and allow it to soak for 3 to 5 minutes, then gently distribute throughout hair with your hands.

Do not rub.

Rinse the hair twice thoroughly in cold water.

Pat hair gently with a towel to remove any excess water.

While still damp, spray with a leave in conditioner.

Avoid brushing or combing while wet.

Place hair on a towel and let it air dry. Never use heat tools as this can permanently damage synthetic fibers.

When completely dry, brush or comb the hair, and the curls and waves will spring back into position.

Avoid excess heat.
