I'm more than impressed with this product. Like others, I received the one-ounce trial size in a kit, and didn't expect much. But I was pleasantly surprised. I can apply it before bed and it's not messy at all. Yet it pretreats my hair before washing so it looks healthier when styled. My favorite use for it, though, is as a lightweight styling product. My fine, wiry, collar-length gray hair (colored blonde)can appear damaged even though it really isn't. (Not too bad, anyway.) Anti-Aging Overnight Hair Rescue adds a healthy texture and control to freshly washed and dried hair. I dispense a couple of pumps in one hand and work it between the palms and fingers of both hands. Then I rake it though my hair, especially at the ends. They instantly appear thicker and healthier, but never hard or crisp like styling gels make my hair look and feel. I'm left with soft, full, wavy hair for the day. Not greasy at all. Doesn't weigh my fine hair down. I like the idea that I'm conditioning my hair all day long. It's definitely on my short list of permanent hair products.

I have very thin hair and the only reason I use this product is to add volume to my hair. When I put it on, my hair absorbs this cream completely leaving my hair with 3 times more volume for at least 4 days, so I use it once a week to keep the volume. I don't use it for anything else.

I have natural not color treated (no highlight or dye), never blown dried/flat ironed slightly dry, thick hair. I am Hispanic so it's not pin straight but heavy enough it lays flat. (I am in Afghanistan and styling your hair is not important here as It is always pulled back if I do go outside my hair is under a helmet, hat or scarf) [...] You often pay for what you get. I really didn't expect much. I was a very large sample and hoped that I could tell with a few uses if it would work or not. It has a light scent that seems to disappears and a smooth silky feel. I expected it to have a silicone feel to it or more slip, this is not the case. It seems to melt into my hair, it's not greasy or silicone like at all. It doesn't leave any kind of residue on your pillow In the AM when I wash my hair, my hair seems smoother and softer. Sometimes I use it as styling aid when my hair is REALLY dry and I love it! I am so glad I tried this product and ordered the full size @ [$] and I think it's a great bargain.

I got this product as a sample. I gave it a try and didn't expect much from it. However, this product works!!! It's so great that I'm ordering one now.
I got a large size of the sample so I was able to try more than one time.

I had a perm 2 months ago and then colored and highlighted my hair. IT WAS FRIED!! I thought all I could do was cut it all off but Alterna has saved my hair! There was a noticeable difference after just one use. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has severely damaged hair. It's worth every dollar.
