I have thick user-friendly hair when styled. If I blow dry it with a round brush, it is nice and straight. If I let it air dry it is a wavy, frizzy, inconsistent mess. This product helps me with that. I know put in some curl cream while my hair is wet, twist my hair into about 7 finger curls (Shirley Temple style), and let it dry. Once it is dry I run my fingers through my hair to break up the finger curls. It turns into a beautiful wave, but it is slightly frizzy. I spray the Boho Waves on it and the product instantly creates a more defined, less frizzy look to the waves. It also helps the waves last all day.

I use this to create and softly hold curls in my heavy, thick wavy hair. It works extremely well and even adds shine and a fresh smell. Great product!

I have naturally wavy, thin fine hair. But since my natural waves aren't pretty, I either have to straighten it or "curl" my hair every day. I used to curl it by applying mousse and gel to wet my wet hair, then blow drying and scrunching. Those of you that do this know that the process takes time. ALTERNA BAMBOO Style Boho Waves Tousled Texture Spray lets me get that same effect in just minutes by spraying and scrunching dry hair, but the result is much nicer to the touch. I love the product, but the price is very high, so I came up with a great way to use less. Start with dry hair and apply several spritzes and scrunches with ALTERNA BAMBOO Style Boho Waves Tousled Texture Spray. Then mist and scrunch with water--don't drench (I add a touch of leave-in conditioner to my water) and then spritz and scrunch with TRESemme Curl Activator Spray. The Activator Spray is stickier and heavier than Boho waves, so you'll want to start applying just a little and add more as you need it. I finish off with a light dusting of CHI Shine Spray. It took me a few applications to get the balance just right for me, but now it works just as great as just Boho Waves (although admittedly, the finished product is slightly less touchable than Boho Waves alone). If I had not been able to come up with an alternative using additional products, I would not be able to recommend this product because it would be cost prohibitive. But, with my new method, I can still get "curly" hair in just minutes, and my supply of Boho Waves lasts long enough to make it worthwhile. I would have given it 5 stars if it were more affordable.

I love that this products gives me wave. It's really hard for Asian hair to have some waves.

The smell was so bad, I had to immediately wash it out of my hair...there are SO many products out there that smell great and work well. I'll not use this one in the future.
