I use this product occasionally when my skin feels like it needs exfoliation - if it gets rough or dull, or has a lot of blemishes.
I purchased this product because of the ingredients. The list is short and the contents are more natural than any other exfoliating mask I've seen.
You do have to mix the mask yourself. This is not a problem for me, but I have had difficulty getting the powder to mix with liquids. It never results in a smooth mixture, but rather a gritty, chunky one. Instead I usually mix it with plain yogurt, which results in a smoother texture, and yogurt has natural exfoliating properties as well, so it makes it feel slightly more potent. I highly recommend using yogurt for the mask. I also tried honey, which did not work well.
The smell is unpleasant, yes. The first time I used it I had to plug my nose with cotton balls because it was so strong. It's just an odd smell. It doesn't smell chemical-y, though, just kind of sour. After a couple uses, it didn't bother me as much anymore.
It is not the most powerful exfoliant I have used - I have used some scary, super-peely chemical ones, though - but it does work pretty well. It makes my skin noticeably smoother and more radiant. I will probably be sticking with this product, as I have not found anything with ingredients this natural that works as well. I would recommend this product to people who care about the ingredients in the products they use.

Comments about 100% Pure Facial Peel, Pineapple Enzyme Facial Peel, 2.9 oz:
I use this mask once every couple of weeks, whenever my skin starts to feel un-smooth. As every review states, this product doesn't smell good, but I appreciate that the strength of the mask is not diluted by ingredients for fragrance. I use it in the shower while I wait for my hair conditioner to sink in, and rinse it off before it dries completely. Rather than a thick paste I prefer to use it kind of soupy in texture, which seems to be less drying and it leaves my skin feeling completely smooth afterwards. Incredible mask.

Comments about 100% Pure Facial Peel, Pineapple Enzyme Facial Peel, 2.9 oz:
I used the entire jar, but I did not like this product. I really wanted to because I have been searching for an organic facial peel that I can use at home. I liked that it was organic and eco-friendly because you add water (cutting down on packaging). I haven't tried other products in this line, but I really like the company and what they do for animal welfare. Unfortunately, I didn't like the scent and the peel just irritated my skin. I will still try other products in this line, but this did not work for me.

Comments about 100% Pure Facial Peel, Pineapple Enzyme Facial Peel, 2.9 oz:
I must have received a bad jar.... I have never given any product a single star before, but this was a waste of money. Yes, it does peel.... about 3 days after use.... but I cannot stand the smell. it makes me gag! It does not smell like pineapple or tropical or anything remotely close. And it dries really hard, and is difficult to wash off. The smell seems to linger for another 24 hrs after use (I do have a very keen smeller, so perhaps I am just oversensitive). Bottom line... it is effective but so are other peels that smell much better. I will be throwing it out (at least the glass jar can be recycled!).

I wanted to use this mask to exfoliate my skin, and I liked its list of all-natural ingredients. It comes in a glass jar with a small plastic scooper. The powder is very fine, and you add a few drops of water to it to make a paste. I left it on for a few minutes and then washed it off with warm water. Unfortunately, my skin felt very itchy after using this mask, and some areas became red. I'm not sure what happened since I have used enzyme masks with papaya before and nothing occurred. Maybe it was the pineapple? Oh well, this one's not for me. As for other masks that are natural and DIY, I would recommend Burt's Bees pore refining mask.

Comments about 100% Pure Facial Peel, Pineapple Enzyme Facial Peel, 2.9 oz:
I have used this a few times now and love the results. the smell is unusual but not awful. It can sting a little on sensitive areas but even though my skin is very sensitive and reactive I didn't have any bad effects and in fact it looked great after. I think this is good for those of us who cannot exfoliate aggressively with acids or scrubs but need a little help with cell turnover. I left it on no longer than 10 minutes and then used a little "comfort serum" afterwards and my face felt soft and smooth and clean. nice. I didn't have any problem mixing it up- just add water a very little at a time.
